We've
been a band since March 2005, which is exactly how long Charlie's been learning guitar. Unfortunately, Hollis has been playing
bass for less than that, although he's a natural. We were originally called The New Fantastics, which lasted all of a month.
Anyway, we generally stick our songs into a fat melting pot of genres to mix it up a bit, ending up with so many styles you'd
be able to count them with a hand and two toes, I expect.
We
see ourselves as being a little different from everyone else, but then every band nowadays says that. Therefore
you should check out our recordings and/or live performances, coming to a dingy stadium near you. Another thing
about bands these days is that they say they're all about the music. While it's true that a substantial part of us is about
the music, it's not all about the music. Part of the ethos of the Ponies is basically to run around acting like
a chav, except with a bit of style. Well, thats more like the ethos of Charlie and Matt, with all their escapades, and
such. Oh yeah, and we entered the general election as The Ponies Party, too.
Just
so you don't get confused, we're not chavs.
